    Pye-Barker is making an addition to their sales team in their Central Georgia territory (east from Augusta and southwest to Macon). This is an opportunity to develop a sales plan that includes growing current customer accounts as well as bringing in new customers from a wide variety of lead sources. You will be selling to business owners in a protected territory, educating them on the wide range of products and services that Pye-Barker offers, and selling solutions that are best matched to the customer need.

    What we are looking for:

    • Outside sales experience in the mechanical or industrial engineering industry
    • Knowledge of experience in compressed air, pumps, vacuums, pressure blowers, and accompanying products and services extremely beneficial
    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is a plus
    • Master at the process of selling including planning and prioritizing current and prospective client outreach
    • Ability to make good decisions including pricing based on target gross margin and recommendations of best products and services based on client need
    • Exemplifies exceptional customer service through professionalism, integrity, focus on providing solutions to customers and being responsive to customer needs and inquiries
    • A desire to work in a commission, performance-based, environment
    • Proficient at operating a personal computer including Microsoft Office: Outlook for email and calendar, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Detail orientation and ability to work within a CRM (Customer Relationship Management software)
    • Valid driver license and a good driving record


    Highlights of the day-to-day:

    • Meet monthly forecast for sales volume and sufficient gross to meet profit objectives
    • Create and organize sales activities for the assigned territory
    • Establish a positive relationship with client and prospective clients
    • Maintain all proper documentation free from error
    • Work with the members of management to plan routes and new prospects
    • Enhance customer satisfaction during the entire purchase experience
    • Work with clients to recommend current and future needs
    • Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the company’s values in all interactions with clients, co-workers, and vendors
